I don't think the electric wipers were a factory or dealer option on your 52, but I've been wrong before. I also don't know if it the wiring would be exactly the same on a 52 and 56, but here is the wiring schematic for the optional 56 electric wipers.
You may have an aftermarket setup. Obviously, in that case, this won't help.
