Hi guys, I was hoping someone else has experienced this problem and found a way to fix it. My passenger side wiper works just fine and travels the right distance and speed, but the drivers side goes super fast and travels the whole length from the outside of the window clear down to the hood window molding smacking there hard evertime. It's very annoying. I have replaced the sway arm, bushings, the pivot head, and even the arm from the motor, but no change. I was thinking of maybe shortening the arm from the motor on that side? Any ideas???

Is there an after-market intermittant switch you can buy for the wipers that will fit in the 66 dash with the original ****? Thank you.
Try switching your drive bars on pivot pins [check bushings while you're under there] where they attach at motor. They might be switched right for left or vice-a-versa. Also be sure you have correct pivot [where arm/blade attaches] for year truck you're working on, and in correct hole in cowl, be it L/H or R/H.

Does anyone know where to find a good wiper motor? 61 F-100
I've got a spare I'll sell ya. I just got finished repainting the armature housing. I was going to finish cleaning up the rest and put it on ebay but if you need it let me know and we'll strike up a deal.
As far as the wiper control arms, I've got a pair on ebay right now. Click here
I pulled the switch. delay module and wiper motor from a 79f150 and replaced the single speed motor in my 66, Works great. Makes rainy days better.
