5.8 efi intake question

I have an efi truck 5.8w engine that I wanted to swap into an early Bronco. Problem is that the intake is way to tall, so I'm trying to find the cheapest way to a shorter intake system. Will a 5.0 gt40 upper intake bolt to a lower intake from a lightning? I saw one on ebay for a reasonable price, and I have the 5.o upper. thanks for any response.

Yes, the GT-40 tops are the same, just the bases are different. It should bolt right up.

ive heard a popular swap for the broncos is a gt-40 lower with an explorer upper.

thanks LXM, for the info. Do you know how much lower , the gt40 combo is from the stock truck intake? Also I think I would have to wire the system to use the MAF sefi computer, right? Currently the 5.8 is S/D, batch fire.
