need help w/ a truck...
found an 84 f-250 4x4 w/ 300-6 and 4 spd...checked my chiltons, but it was little help....here's the VIN and some other stuff off the door tag, and the stuff off the front axle tag...

what i'm looking for is which 4 spd tranny does it have and which axles (i.e. dana 60, or??) are under the truck....i know that the rear is a full floater, but there was no differential tag for the rear...thanks

The trans is either a Borg-Warner T-18 or a New process NP 435. You can look on the side of the tranny and there sould be a casting showing T-18 (Maybe T-19; but, doubt it). The T-18 has a cast iron top and the NP has a n aluminum top.
