For those with a wife.
Well, my wife has been after me for a new vehicle to replace the Crown Vic she has been driving. Attempts to show what a great vehicle it was and to buy a newer one fell on deaf ears.
She wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I test drove a Dodge Durango (didn't like it), been in enough Exploders that I knew that wasn't what we wanted. Tried to sell her on a WRX (stick shift mandatory) and she turned that down.
That left the Jeep. I test drive one and then bought one online. It has the V8 (of course) and the Quad-Trac II, which makes it great for her. That and it fits in the garage.
The color was spot on. White!
Would I do it again? Hell yes! She's happy.

Interesting enough, the Crown Vic is Red! And so far my wife has the highest speeding ticket todate between us. Even though I'm the one that pushes it hard.
A driver's ed vehicle????????? I always thought they used red ones for driver's ed. That way the blood spilled during crashes wasn't so obvious.....

Jack, that thought crossed my mind! But I'm in no hurry for paint stripes. The Jeep has no scratches or dents on it and I plan on keeping it that way. I need a beater to take down to the ORV area.
The CV is sold. My sister and her husband are excited to get it. Reverse is getting weak in it and I don't know how long the tranny will last. What's sad is from the outside, the car still looks very nice. The inside is also quite nice. But the cost of a rebuilt tranny (might as well do the motor also +180K) is more than the car is worth.
It's been one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned, but of course! It's a Ford!
