Transmission swap
So i don't confuse anyone in my question i'm gonna give a brief idea of what i'm doing. I have a 1988 f-150 4x2 and i'm wanting to convert it to a 4x4 with the drivetrain of a 1988 f-250 4x4 i know i need to change the front end, add the transfer case, and change the back end. The only questionable set back is the transmission in the 250 is different than the transmission in the 150 i have a C6 automaticn in the 150 and the 250 i'm not sure what it has but it's a manual. Do i need to regear my C6 for this new 250 drivetrain or will it be fine the way it is? Hope this makes since.

You don't need to re-gear the C6, but you do need to find a C6 4wd tailsection for it. It may be cheaper to just buy a working 4wd C6 instead, since finding a whole 4wd C6 may be easier than finding just the 4wd tailsection, and swapping the tailsections may involve tearing down the whole tranny anyway.
