Question wiring diagram

Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for a ' 38 1/2 ton? I'd like to add another tail lite and probably a heater. What can be done for defrosting? Does it make any sense to keep the 6 Volts since all the gauges work (ex. the fuel gauge) but the wiring needs to be replaced. Thanks, more later! JH

You might try Mac's web site - if you don't find the one for your truck you can probably come close. I have a '48 pickup, so some of your questions are beyond my info.

Gauges: Ford used 6V gauges up thru the mid-70's. Every dash has a voltage regulator on or near the gauge cluster to drop from 12 to 6V. So you don't need to change yours if you go with 12 - just get a regulator from a junk yard or local parts store.

Lights are easy to upgrade to dual taillights - I think (been 4 years) my connections came with the turn signal I added. Picked up a crossover wire to go from the driver's side to pass side. I did have to run a separate ground wire to frame from the pass tail light housing before it would work properly.
