Just got done replacing upper and lower ball joints. I thought I could tackle it in an evening, I thought wrong
But any way on top of the bearing housing there is a fitting with a red cap ... Its not a grease/zert fitting .... what is it and what goes in there
thanks In advance

If you do not have the Electronic Shift on the Fly 4WD, I would assume that plug is where the vacuum line goes to actuate the hubs.
If you have ESOF, then it is where the ball joint fluid goes. You guys really gotta change that fluid more often too! It's only a mixture of winshield wiper fluid and brake fluid at a 43/59% mixture.
Guys
Thanks for the replies even the funny ones... It kind of lets a guy know what to expect down the road. I only hope ,I can be of help sometime. It was the fittings for the vac lines...

What?? I just adjusted my piston cables, re-packed the muffler bearings (much easier with the Gibson exhaust), rotated the lug nuts, and changed the air in the tires...
I remember when I was a kid we would say don't forget to check the headlight fluid. But now with nobody using sealed beams anymore you find a lot of cars that do have headlight fluid.
