Fuel switch

I'm just a little confused on the 2 fuel tanks ordeal...lol

If i'm driving and i'm running low on fuel in my rear tank, can i just hit the switch to front tank?...and will it read on teh fuel gauge?

BTW...i have a 94 F-150 5.0

Thank You

It should read that way. Run one low and have the other full and you will see. Won't hurt a thing to switch them.

yup as long as you have fuel in the other tank you can switch whenever you feel the need too. i usually switch when i have 1/4 tank left that way i have a little cushion if i forget the tank is low when the other tank gets low so i am not pushing. with a 29' gooseneck and a 12500 lbs tractor that makes for a hard push.

Don't run lower then 1/4 tank if you can. You may run some rust from the bottom of the tank through the fuel filter then it may clog up and stop running.
