Tcase/filter

I wanna change my fluid in my tcase. Just wondering what type of fluid is best? Also, there aren't any filters in there are there? 96 3.0L, Auto tranny, 4x4

No filters in the t-case. Is this routine maintenance or are you having some problems?

I could of swore that there was a little filter in those cases.....I used to work for Borg-warner in Muncie, IN where they make those cases, and I thought all of them (ford cases) had a little mesh filter in them. But I may be wrong...it may of only been the f-150's that had that. But anyway, its nothing you can replace without taking the whole case apart, its just to catch any kind of little metal flakes that may be floating around in there. Has anyone actually had one apart and could say for sure? I'm just wondering if i am remebering right......
