March Meeting Note

As we had planned there will be a March meeting held in GILMAN.

Those from the central and down state areas interested please speak up.

We'll be meeting at the Burger King.

Gilman is at exit #283 on I - 57.

If there are enough new faces and enough interest at the March meeting, maybe we can set up a Chapter Meeting in Danville.

Interested? Let us know, we're trying to meet the needs of everyone in the chapter by moving the Chapter Meetings to various locations.

Also, keep in mind the Chapter's first show/picnic will be held in May at Kankakee River State Park.

Thanks, Fastronald

Gilman Meeting

Any thoughts or comments or suggestions? Gilman will be our farthest south meeting thus far.

We'll need some participation to make the Danville area meeting a reality as well for Gilman.

March Meeting

Beyond our meeting in Gilman, are there members from the Paxton area?

Anyone in the Arcola area?

Just checking.

Closer to Paxton than anywhere else mentioned so far. I live in Sidney which is about 15 miles south of Urbana (U of I). I do know some people from Paxton though, and have been there several times myself, anything I can help you with Ronald?

Meeting

We can schedule a meeting in Paxton this year too. I have not been there in over two years at this point. We'd need to know where we would be able to meet as a group there. Can't remember if there were many chain restrauants there.

Maybe an April meeting in the Paxton area?

Any suggestions?

I'm posting the dates - we can decide which date is best to meet.

Sunday the - 6th - 13th or the 20th? Suggestions?

I'm sure Easter Sunday would be a busy week end for many.

We'll continue to explore options to be sure just how many are planning to attend the May show/picnic.

I'll finish up a potential sponsor list and share it with everyone for suggestions, additions, etc.

We still need to select our chapter logo as well.

It would be nice to finish this up for the May Show/Picnic too.

I make sone calls to see if we can get other itmes we discussed at the February meeting too.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Gilman.

Which date suits everyone best?

We'll meet at the usual time of 1:00 as well, unless there are members who would like to meet at...............say 11:00 - 12:00 or so instead?

In order to recognize his recent efforts and suggestions for meeting locations and involvment in the Illinois Chapter treads..........I would like to nominate "theracingtouch" Steve for March Member Of The Month.

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the forum but still a die hard ford guy and would be interested in going to a meeting sometime. I'm in the Rantoul area (15 miles North of Champaign-Urbana and 10 miles South of Paxton). Gilman is just a hop skip and a jump from here too...

I'm leaning towards the 6th as well. Anyone else have a choice? Looking forward to meeting new faces from the area.

March 6th sounds good to Carol and I. Hopefully we'll see some new members from the central IL area at the meeting! If we do get a good turnout of members from that area, it probably would be a good idea to have the April meeting in the Paxton area.

Okay ....then if no one has any objections..............we'll meet on the 6th at the Burger King in Gilman.

Is the usual 1:00 meeting time okay?

Would anyone want to make it at 11:00 or noon or so? Just curious.

Gilman

Well then the usual 1:00 meeting time is it.

We'll meet at the SOUTH end of the parking lot and enter as a group after we introduce ourselves as we usually do.

March the 6th, 1:00 at the Burger King in Gilman.

Looking forward to seeing many new faces there.

I'll have to make up more of some of the sheets I've handed out so far and bring them for our new faces.

Until I build up some cash from the new job towards a Lightning or a 1951 F - 1 or a 1961 to 1966 truck..........I'll be in the trusty old blue 93' Vicki. The 57' Ranchero is at my cousin's body shop in Indiana for work and they want to drive it for advertizement.

See you then! Fastronald
