Lift Question

I have decided to lift my 04 f250 CC 6.0 with a 4" lift. I know the question has been asked repeatitly. I want to do this lift right and im confused on what exactlly i will need. From what i have read an all spring lift is the way to go. Is that the fact? What are the better lift kits avalibile out there and about how much do they cost.
I am thinking of trying to do myself. Can any one comment about that. Thanks for all your help.

basicaly you want to avoid anything with the word spacer, block or any word that means the same. in the rear you could save some money and not get new leaves just get longer shackles and flip the hanger upside down. in the front, the best thing to do is get longer springs. people sell "leveling kits" but those are usually just a chunk of something to raise the front spring off of it perches some. i dont know about your truck but you may need longer brake lines
