2005 4x4xlt s/c s/b 5.4 plow package 3700 miles on it so far all 4 tires r cupping 17in bfg factory ,trans doesnt like revrse gear to much 7 out of 10 times it feels like a slip them a bang it kicks in. iwas ready to kill this thing the other night while plowing 6-10 in of snow here in chicagoland last week. ive hear about some of the trans problems in the 04's but mine is an 05 10/04 built i hope to take to in later this week
approaching 7K on my 05 and still had the rear end hop,, dealer said there was hard spots in the rubber and some flat spots,, dealer ordered me two new tires,, fronts were fine,,
have the 18' contis on the King Ranch,,
only issue on the tranny is when towing and approaching a hill the tranny can't seem to make its mide up to downshift when it needs to,, dealer stated Ford working on a flash to correct,, here we go again,,

i'm with you on this one, my 05 had 2,200 miles on it and does the exact same thing. it is going in tommorow(tuesday) morning. i will let everyone know what happens.
You need to get it to the shop for the tranny. You can check the transmission build data on the the side of the trans, look under the driver side door. date is in DD-MM-YY format. There are a few other threads on this. My 05 F350 build data was 11/04-vehicle, and 10/04-tranny.
