E4OD Tranny notice
I have an early 99 F-350. I have been having horrible drive problems with the tranny since I had it flushed as part of the sales contract when I bought it a few months ago. After an exhaustive search, I found MY problem. The dealership used Mercon IV in the tranny instead of Mercon V. In just 23 miles, I have felt a huge difference in the drive. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, just thought I'd share my headache and maybe save someone from any expensive and unnecessary repairs.
