Just finished installing factory rebuilt 4.2 in my 97 f150, got done and realized I had not installed the pcv valve and tube, now I can,t find the connection to the intake, need to know where it is and can I install it without removing the upper intake manifold. Any body know?
Did you get it figured out?
If you stick the PCV valve in the hole in the valve cover it probably will be fairly easy to figure out where the hose will reach to.
I might be wrong but I think it goes in the area under and behind the throttle body.
I haven't had a 4.2 apart in a while so I forget.
I think I lost a bearing,I bought a running assembly from Ford so I didnot tear down the old engine. The oil pan was full of metal shavings, terrible knock, and when I drained the fluids to return the core oil pan had a lot of antifreeze in it.
