FYI....Just installed a Rough country 2.5" "leveling kit" on my 04' sc 5.4 super duty,
It raised the front exactly 4"! I put a 2" block in the back and its still a little high in the front. The installation shop says they have never had this happen.
Did the spring perch locations change for in 04? Maybe it's because of the light 5.4 engine. Any ideas?
It will probably "settle" a bit, but I'd contact Rough Country and bounce it off them in the meantime. I've heard of a 2.5" lift raising it 3", but never 4"... Same tires? wheels? tire pressure as before the leveling kit???
Same Everything........I Was Told There Is A Different Kit For The Diesel Due To The Significant Weight Difference, Maybe Thats What I Was Sold. Also I Have Read About Other People Having An Easy Time With The Installation.... I Had To Loosen/ Remove The Tranny Cooler And Front Bumper. The Springs Required A Come Along To Pull The Into Position For The Spring Mounts. Has Anyone Else Had Experienced Installing This Kit On A Reg. Cab 5.4?........
The Truck Does Look Alot Better And The Ride Quality Is Improved. I Wasnt Dissapointed At The Results, Just Pleasantly Surprised.
