I have a 83 F150 with a 351W, 2V intake and a holley 350cfm carb right now. I've an MSD distributor and ignition, fuel economy is about 13mpg highway. I've been having a debate with some friends over whether switching to a 4 barrel carb and intake would gain or lose economy. I was looking at an edelbrock performer intake with a 600cfm carb- vacuum secondaries. Thanks!
You will get better miliage if you use a manual secondary carb and back them off till the throttle is 3/4 open before the back opens. That way you can step into it without opening the secondaries and the four barrell manifold will help this out alot.
