Lots of us only seem to check out 1 or 2 forums on here that interest us but I'm wondering if everyone here knows about the chapters for the different states and provinces, as well as an international chapter.
They are down near the bottom of the main forum page. It can be a fun way to get to know other people from your area, maybe socialize a bit with them, get together and show off your trucks etc.
There are couple of chapters that may have to be closed if they don't get a bit more member support.
Check them out if you get a chance
As Dave said the chapters are a great way to meet people that share the same interest as us. I belong to the Kansas chapter and we have several meets a month. None of them are manditory but it's great to be able to share information face to face and shoot the sh&$. Belonging to a chapter has many other advantages also. For instance one of our members needed help moving and several members chipped in. Some have even helped each other out on working on their trucks, Loaned tools, etc. I've personally have made many good friends threw my chapter!
Thanks for the info on this guys. I was wondering if there was one in my area.
You might want to fill in the "location" part of your profile, that way others know where your located. I check out the Texas chapter from time to time.
-and remember if you do not find your state listed, drop by the chapter discussion forum and express your interest in starting one, there might be others wanting to do the same thing...
Thanks again guys. I have applied to join the alabama chapter. Appreciate all the info on this. I would have probably never even checked to see if there was one if it wasnt for this thread.
Also keep in mind that some states are part of regional chapters... like the Northwest Chapter - which includes Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. So if you don't see your state it may be in one of the regional chapters.
Speaking of newer members. If there is in Kansas fellows out there we are having a GTG in KC on the 5th and a GTG in Wichita on the 12th. Heck even if your from MO or OK or anywhere else you are welcome to come. We heve dinner at a nice warm resteraunt and sit around and BS afterwards. All is welcome!
