I bought a New 2004 SuperDuty Lariat model. It has the V10 and is an extended cab with the 8ft box. It has some rattles on the inside of the cabin after 9000 miles, that drive me crazy, but she gets the job done.
However driving on asphalt and concrete roads tends to be a jack hammer experience. I thought about putting on the new michelin LTX as they did wonders for my expedition but was wondering if anyone had input on good shocks that would smooth out the ride a touch. Anyone had experience with Bilsteins? It sounds like most guys figure out single shocks are still the best way to go - I just want to know which shocks?

See you on the boards.
Get some silcone spray of some type and spray down the door seals. That should quite down some of the rattles that I am guessing you have. Since we have the exact same truck, I know which ones I have experienced. I am at 11000 miles and if I don't keep the seals dressed those doors drive me nuts.
Since I won't be towing this winter I reduced some of the air out of my tires, not alot but some. Seemed to help my ride out.... But I know it will change my tire wear.
But we are driving SUPER DUTY trucks so the ride isn't going to be nice as an F150.
Sure enough the silicone spray worked. I did buy the Michelin LTX AS tires and Bilstein shocks. Anyone else out there have experience with Bilstein shocks on their SuperDuty?
