7.3 PS Starting problem
Howdy all: Have potential problem with my PS.
2001 F350 2wd automatic.
Yesterday was pretty cold in AM, 20s. Started with multiple glow plug activations. When started it surged when idleing (kind of a droning sound). This happened for about 15 seconds, which seems forever when you think there is a problem. Smoothed out and let run for few minutes before moved. Got on the street and felt what appeared to be a surge, like pressing on accelorator, that too went away. Parked at store for 15 minutes and came out and started ok but SES light came on. Seemed to run ok. Checked fluids and all seems to be ok. Have experience the surge twice now. Dissconnected battery and SES is gone, seems to run ok.
Have seem some symptoms describing similar stuff happening that point to the Accelorator position sensor and idle sensor.
Looking for input on this problem??? How much to accelorator pedals cost?
