E4OD SWAP WITH A4OD possible???
I have a 96 van 5.8L with a E4OD tranasmission, it goes into gear, forward or reverse but will only pull itself a few yards before it stops. The transmission isn't slipping to cause the stop, it siezes up just like you put the brakes on. To get it to move further, like back to it's resting place you have to pour the torque to it, the engine isn't reving high while doing this, just using the power, has anyone have any idea whats taking place with the tranny? Anyways, I have another transmission out of a 86 F150, can I put this transmission in, and what will it take to make it work.
