When a tire bounces up and down it creates wear spots in equally spaced intervals around the tire. These wear spots are referred to as flat spots since they appear as flat portions of worn tread.

I think the flat spots everyone is talking about is when the truck sits for a long time
in cold weather where the tires touch the ground it will fill flat untell the tires warm
