Freeze Plug Leak

Freeze plug seems to be leaking behind the drivers side of motor mount 1992 351 bronco .Any tips on changing the plug out engine still in and removing motor mount( engine have to be lifted) and where else do i have to unbolt the engine besides motor mount. From a previos search i found u have to undo the bolts from the block and slide the mount out . I f i have to lift the engine wheres the best place All replies appreciated -Haynes shows changing the plugs with the engine out.thanks TR

changed on my '85 about a year and a half ago. i parked the truck under a tree, drained the block, used a chain block and lifted the engine as far as i could, then changed both freeze plugs while engine was up.

undo both mts and put a piece of 2X6 under tha pan and jack on it , don't raise it any more than necessary, drive the plug in on one side and it will sit sideways in the hole then grip it with vise grips and pull it out, don't put the new one in too deep and be sure you clean the block thoroughly before you install the new one.Have fun!!
