I'm sorry to hear about your loss, I know I was lucky to get missed by the flooding (I'm a grad student at Ohio State, living right in Columbus, most of the flooding was just south of me).
With your Bronco, I honestly don't know how much damage water does, but I also assume that the electrical would be shot. I know though from family experience with totalled vehicals (being originally from northern Michigan we hit a lot of deer) Often times the insurance company will wish to total a vehical if the cost to return it to "original" condition is more than its book value, however if the damage is strictly cosmetics or easy fixes to get it road worthy, we have have the insurance company total it, then you buy back the vehical from the insurance company, and do the fixes yourself. If the Bronco is beyond being fully repaired, it might not hurt to buy it back for parts.
