I've recently purchased my 89 F-350 7.3 litre diesel. The previous owners had by-passed the heater core due to a leak.(as well as cutting about 3 feet of the original heater hose off) Does anyone know the original routing of the hoses as well as which side of the core the two hoses go to? I've already replaced the core, just don't know which hose to hook to either side of the core. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

 

Hi sealguy, Just changed my anti-freeze out today. The outside outlet for the heater core goes on the nipple on the water pump, the inside goes to the motor under the filter on the passenger side.
That should do you.
