swapping
Ok I have a 86 f150 its a 302 efi auto with overdrive 4x4.
What I would like to do is put a 4.6 out of a 98 in it .
what I dont know is if it will work or what I will have to do or what to
buy . Any help on this would nice .

You will need to swap the entire harness computer and tranny (trannys don't swap between 302 and 4.6). That brings into question the transfer case and if you can bolt that up.
For the money, you could have a hard charging 302.
