I have a '88 Bronco XLT with the 5.8L engine. It stopped starting suddenly the other day, as in I drove it to school, and when I came out to go home it would no longer start. I tried replacing the electrical ignition switch in the steering column, but that hasn't fixed the problem. I can hot-wire it with a wire from the battery to the solenoid with the switch in the "ON" position, and it starts that way, and then I can turn it off with the switch, so I know the switch is alright. Any other suggestions for what could be the problem, as I'm getting ready to sell the truck.
