High Idle System 4 95 Ps
I gotta 95 PS 7.3 with electronic throttle. Was wondering if there is any aftermarket high idle system for these as the ford unit is pricey. Had a ford one I found in a wrecker but moisture ruined it. Getting tired of using the stick to idle this baby up, especially in the climate where I live. Definetly dont wanna let her idle at base speed as I had to rebuild heads on a 97 already for a customer who let it idle 8 hours and wetstacked 3 valves! (ouch)! Thanks for any input Josh

Other than the stick, which works pretty well for most folks, you have two other options: one is to check eBay for a Ford AIC. You can pick them up there quite a bit cheaper than buying new from the dealership. The other option is the one I chose. I've got a four position chip, and one of those positions is an elevated idle program. After starting the truck, I wait for the glow plugs to finish cycling, then flip the switch to this particular position, and the idle speed jumps up to 1100 rpm. Flip it into another program before driving, and away we go!!

Quads idea of the chip is pretty sweet, been looking into that or you can make your own.
