apologies in adance for not putting this in the proper thread. for some unexplained reason my computer locks up when i attempt to access the correct thread. i finally got the project out of my head and made it a reality. i hope some of you guys(million, ivan, ted, to name a few) remember me yapping about it a few months ago. i have a lot more pics just have'nt had time to get them all on. again i apologize for not posting correctly. hope yall like my truck, Eddie II
i added 23 inches. i split the frame in the middle between the bed and regular cab so i could keep the same bolt locations for everything. all i had to do then was make minor mods to accomodate the mounts on the rear of the supercab body.
Awesome looking truck, do you have any pics of the project in progress? I bought a super cab long bed that I would like to chop to fit a short bed onto.
progress pics are on the way. dino360 i think your project will be easier to than mine was. i now have shortened one and lengthened one and shortening is much easier to me. thanks guys for the compliments. i get a lot of stares and thumbs up from people when i'm out in this truck but it means more to hear good things from the people on here since everyone owns a ford.(although it is cool to see a chevy or dodge pull up and the driver say "nice truck man!!!")

It's cool the looks you get from people on the street when you roll up in a built old Ford. I always park mine next to the Chevy guy who thinks he's got a tough truck. Probably the funniest thing though is how much little kids love these big truck. They always scream and wave . . . though I'm not sure if the screaming is because they like my truck or just because I'm a crappy driver.
i thought about getting a big airhorn for the kids. as far as pulling up next to the competition i still have work to do. i gotta get my half ton running gear in shape and i got a 460 in the works. maybe then i can brag a little...lol
thanks again for the good words. i got some more pics up now. shows the new area of the frame as well as miscellaneous pics during the project. later, Eddie II
