Smile FORD Called Me

Last night some guy from the Kentucky Ford plant where my truck was built called me to see how I liked my new truck. We talked for about 20 minutes and I told him I was very impressed with it. He asked for improvement suggestions so I recommended that they go back to putting fender liners in the back and think about adding mud flaps on 4X4 models. I like that sort of personal attention. It certainly gives you impression that Ford cares.
A far cry from my Ford purchase experience back in 73.

hope they do that to me when they build mine in a few weeks, advise don't call a burning hot mechanic, waiting for a new truck with a torqeshift trans and all problems with them right now. esp. the recalls and cracking cases

I had the same thing happen about a month ago. Not sure where he was calling from. I was so happy with the truck and in shock over the call I could only think of one thing my wife had commented on. On the sunroof, make it auto close as well as auto open, and the windows as well, probably more important than the sunroof. I agree on the rear wheel liners for a $40k + vehicle.
