Question 93 4x4 XLT Help Needed

Just bought a 93 Bronco 4x4 XLT. Need some help with problems that I have found after spending some time in it. Can someone please give me some direction on fixing these problems.

1). The Temp Gauge not working.
2). No heat from the heater although the inter fan are working.
3). The RPM Gauge is not working.
The other problems are small exhaust leak. Small leak from front seal or oil pan. I am not worried about these I can fix those from the advise from others.
I have always wanted A bronco and now that I have one I would have to say,
"I LOVE THIS TRUCK"

Temp gauge: Check sending unit and wiring to it. Its a single wire sensor mounted in the lower intake on the driver's side.

No Heat: Check your coolant level in the radiator. With the temp gauge not working AND no heat, it sounds like you may have a good size air bubble in the system. Even if the overflow tank is full, if there is too little coolant in the system it won't siphon from the tank. You might check your thermostat in case its stuck open too.

Tachomater: Check to make certain the seat belt indicator and the high beam indicator are working as well. I know its wierd but these two indicators are tied to the same ground before they leave the instrument cluster. Otherwise the signal comes from the PCM (pin 36) a white/pink wire.

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to FTE. You have found a gold mine of information here. Good luck with the Bronco.

temp gauge and no heat could be a 5 dollar thermostate, be careful if it is you'll find out going down the highway when it starts bucking. my 93 eb 351 did that. also your oil leak is probably the cheap rubber seal around the oil pan just did mine (leaked a lot) now its fine. no easy job, almost imposible to get oil pan out, hoist engine as much as you can, clean the bottom of the block and put the new seal on with the oil pan hanging. i never did get the pan completly out, so thats what i did and it worked. good luck!

Welcome to the board....

Have you checked to see if your heater core has been bypassed? There should be 2 hoses on the firewall ( passenger side, uppermost corner )... Many people simply hook the hoses together when the heater core begins leaking instead of fixing it...

The temp gauge on my 89 bronco was not working and it turned out to be the sending unit. It's threaded into the intake manifold, very easy to replace.
