how do i find out what transfer case i have in my truck its a 1990 f250 I6/5spd .
I havent used four wheel drive most of the summer ,but i was using it last week on a jobsite 4low worked fine but 4high didnt go in the light on the dash didnt come on either ,some one told me to change the oil in it ,it my be low and probaly has,nt been changed in a while
Check your shift linkages also. Make sure they don't interfere with anything. I can't pinpoint it, but it's either a B-W 1354, or B-W 1356. There should be a metal plate riveted to the case with the info you need. Or maybe a metal tag attatched. I guess it might also be stamped right on the case.
