has anyone swaped I6 out and put in a 460 my truck is a 1990 f250 4x4 with a 5spd. am i nuts or could this be done

 

Seems to me a 460 was a stock offering on your year truck. In that case, you can make the swap with stock parts. Find a rolled or crashed donor at the scrappy on in the ads, buy it, build the 460, swap it. Easy as pie.

 

Yep, and you will probably want the tranny and all associated drive line parts from the 460 truck too....

Should be farely easy. If you are staying with FI, make sure you get all the wiring.
