keyless remote

keyless remote
I just bought a 01 f350 Super Crew V10 4x4 and didn't get a keyless remote with it. How can i tell if it had one before and the dealer just didn't give it to me or what would it take to make it be able to have a keyless remote? Any help would be greatly be appreciated.

Just turn the ignition key on & off 8 times within 10 seconds, ending with the key in the "on" position. If your door locks cycle up & down, then the truck is equipped with that option. If it is, go onto Ebay and get yourself a pair of remotes--You can get them there for $10 each--The dealer usually wants at least $40 a piece.

Programming
Just do the 8 on & offs, and after the locks cycle, just push any button on one remote, and then push any button on the other remote. When you push the button on each one, the locks will cycle again telling you that the truck has accepted the programming. Then, just turn off the key--they will cycle again telling you that programming mode has ended. After that, both remotes will work. You can program a maximum of 4 remotes, but you have to do all of them at the same time.
