one price dealership

Hello all new poster here. Ive decided to trade for a F350 4x4 Chassis. I went to a one price dealer close by he offered to sell me what I want for Invoice less holdback. How do they make money like this? Only prob. It has to be ordered or be in stock or a switch out with another dealer that will trade between dealers without keeping the holdback. Are 350 c/c 4x4 6.0 auto trans trucks in short supply everywhere? Thanks

1) I don't know how they're doing it at that price, and who cares? Order it! I'm assuming they're giving you credit for ALL the rebates. If they're keeping some (or all) of those for themselves, then you know how they're doing it.

2) The problem with in-stock cab-chassis is they almost always have the body on the back that you don't want. The locator system can only show what left the plant; it doesn't tell us what the other dealer has added to the truck. You'll want a dump body and it will have a flatbed or a wrecker. Just order it and get what you want.

I think the key word here is "Trade". What your getting for your truck would preclude any pricing on the new unit and depending on what it says on the back of the contract you signed, the dealer has an out if the trade is anything other than what was discribed. You don't have to take the deal, but he isn't bound to take it either, and if the dealer has the only truck there is...well...you can figure that out for yourself. At the end of the year, most of the commercial rigs were long gone, in my neck of the woods (Minnesota)
