I have a 1960 F-100 with the 223 in it.. has anyone tryed the 2bbl conversion on one of thies, and does it help any with it at all? Ie more power, better milage? Or is it a waste of time?
223 & 7 mainbolt. Rebuilt last year.. ave is 4500 RPM doing 70 mph on I5 In Redding Ca.. Now Im looking to give it more bottom end.. Its running strong.. But Befor I go and Put money on a Carb and carb plate.. I wanted to know what if anyone else has done this and how it worked out for them.. I can Push it to 6000 without much of a problem.. It just keeps going and going..
Guess it's time to scrap the 300 and go retro. (mine starts to shake pretty good at 3300) Unless you can get a full on two bbl manifold, you will be stuffing the two bbl intake down the same small hole as the 1bbl. Marginal improvement, I would think.
Ya.. I seen Cliffords and Stove Bolt Has one that will work better in my case... I was just wondering if anyone else has used them and how it worked out?
