Something wrong with Flowmaster Install
I just had a Flowmaster 2-chamber exhaust muffler put on my '84 Ford Bronco. The next day after having this installed I am getting these horrible sounding clanks and bangs coming from under the truck when I turn or go through dips in the road. I took it back to the muffler shop and they said that the pipe is sturdy and that it isn't making the noise. Is it possible that something is hitting it when I makes turns? I never had this problem before I had the new muffer installed.

You'll have to get under there and look for yourself. Get somebody to bounce up and down on the tailgate while you get under and watch. You've already paid the exhaust people so they probably don't want to fool with it anymore, unless you pinpoint where the problem is.

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions. After looking closer under the truck I relized that it was not the exhaust pipe afterall. It was a worn out bushing on the passenger side radius arm. The only cause I can come up with is that when they were welding on the muffler it caused so much heat that it wore the bushing out. I did have quite a few passengers that night as well so I'm sure that the extra weight also contributed. I will probably install a heat sheild on the piece of pipe that comes close to the bushing to make sure the heat doesn't wear the new ones.
