FT oil pan

What has a full sump pan and large capacity.

Well, ya pretty much answered your own question. The FT engines typically (maybe always) have the larger pan and the rear pickup. Look for the larger F Series trucks, like F600s, buses, dump trucks etc.


You can find them on ebay every so often. There's guy on there now offering cleaned and anodized FT pans for about $80. That might seem pricey until you look at other Pan prices (Canton, Milodon etc). And those other brand name pans don't usually fit a 2wd 67-79 FE powered F Series.

Will those stock FT pans fit a 2wd? i was thinking they were too big.

It's the same depth as stock pan, but it's just a long square box. Nothing in back for it to hit on 2wd. I've had one in my truck for many years now.

Correct, I'm running a Ford Motorsports Tray from Summit...IIRC
