Hi folks,

One question, what is the better spark plug for the BII 1989 manual trans 2WD?
I have SPLITFIRE SPLIT "V" DESIGN & DOUBLE-SILICONE wires, I want to try the BOSCH-PLATINUM+4 , but I want to see your comments, what is the better spark plug & wires for this car???

thanks!

i have the bosch platinum 4 spark plugs they work wonders for my b2
i had splitfire before does not compare to bosch.

now some people don't mess with platinum plugs it depends on how you use your b2
i'm sure you'll get some more advice.

I would go with Motorcraft platinum plugs.

bosh platinums all the way bosh guarentees these plugs to last 100,000 miles and when you consider what a pain it is to get at some of those plugs well... you can figure it out from there.

Speaking of, while pulling out spark plugs on my 87 BII 2.9L, the first one I went to pull broke in two when I started loosening it... so... I ended up going to the parts store and getting a set of Autolite double platinums. So far, it seems to be acting a LOT better than it was before... from the looks of things, the Champions that were in it had been in there long enough for rust to develop on the exposed hex head... but other than that, they all looked 'normal' and probably only needed some cleaning and re-gapping. Ah, well. At least I know now I have new decent plugs in there.

Personally, I use what 'fits best'... i.e., Autolite for Fords, Bosch/NGK for imports, etc., etc., etc., .... but, all-around best plug for the money are the Bosch's IMHO.
