460 push rods
I am doing a motor swap and I basicly have a 460 block. The heads were from a 1973 low compression motor (I dont want to use these) and the block crank and rods are 1971. I am thinking of going with the 1970 D0ve heads. What pushrods do I go with with this combination?
I have about 10.5:1 flat tops will they work with the 1970 heads or will there be a clearance problem?

I guess I should have asked the question better. Were the flattops used with the 1973 vintage heads? If so, 10.5:1 pistons made for the small-chambered early heads will result in a CR of somewhere around 9.2-9.5:1 with the large-chamber heads. They will work fine for street duty.
