Headlights not working at random??
I found your site and figured you all are pretty knowlegable - was wondering if you might give a novice some advice. About a week ago, the headlights of my 1998 Expedition started randomly working. They may initially go on when you turn the switch and then ramdomly shut off for a period of time, or they may not turn on at all when you turn the switch and then start working as you are driving. Is there anything I can try before I take it into the shop and pay big bucks? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I would first check to see if the high and lowbeams both go out. If only one or the other go out, and if your flash to pass still works, I would suspect the multi-function switch(the turnsignal switch). If nothing works at all, I would take the headlight switch out and check the connector for melted plastic and or a loose connection.
