Origin of MAP sensor voltage

I ran the codes on my Dad's '85 E150, 302, carb van and it came back with a bad MAP code along with others but that is the first code generated and that's where I am starting. Checked the supply voltage first and no 5V. I suspect that there is no supply voltage to the other sensors that have generated a code also (TPS, EGR). Can anyone tell me where the 5V power to these sensors originate? I checked for ground continuity and that's OK.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Dec-02 AT 02:44 PM (EST)]The SIGNAL RETURN wire comes from the computer, which generates the supply voltage to all the sensors. Trace that wire & make sure it's continuous, including across the big connector at the computer. If it's dead, your computer is probably shot, but they're only about $160 reman at any parts store (except THE ZONE... ). $250 straight from Ford.

Thanks, Steve83. I was afraid of that. I just called locally and they are $103 and have to order it. I chased the wires and there is no 5V supply to anything. Thanks for the quick response.

It's the Bk/Wh wire from pin #46 off the EEC, so start there.

BTW Where is your EEC? Under the driver's seat, in the dash behind the radio, or somewhere else? Just curious...
