work shop manuals
anyone know if there is any up to date workshop manuals for the 1994 f150??
I have the 1980-1996 Haynes any sugestions on a betterone as I need all the help I can get

Ford Shop manuals should be available from Helm, Inc - will not be up to date unless you order all TSB etc. I believe link to TSB's is in this forum. I have 95 manuals - they are expensive approximately $200? you can get different manuals separately. All this is dated - mine were bought in 97.

I did order the Ford Shop Manual online from helminc.com for my 1994 F-150 4x4. I paid about $100 plus shipping. It consists of 2 books with total about 3000 pages and is pretty much worth the money if you have a lot to fix on your truck.

I highly recommend the EVTM. The EVTM (electrical vacuum troubleshooting manual) is a godsend. Especially if you are not a sparky type. It explains things in an understandable way and the diagrams are very easy to follow compared to the wiring diagrams. Well worth the $30 bucks I paid for my '93 manual and I am a sparky. The specification manuals are a very quick way to find numbers but not worth the $ in my opinion as all info seems to be available in the shop manuals. You may want the emissions manual, I did, but $320 was too much for me. The info I need from the emissions manual I have been able to obtain here so far. The wiring diagrams can be very confusing as they contain all possible wiring variations. Sorting out which is what can take some work.

IMHO the cost of a shop manual will most likely be recovered the first time you don't have to take your truck to the shop for work. I have the same opinion on tools. What I pay for them is way more than covered by what I save. The spouse is, lucky for me, a big believer in this. She didn't used to be, would gripe about tool expenses, until she started listening to what her sisters, family and friends were paying for car repairs in $, time and headaches.
