AX-I looked at the glass as you said, From what I see, there is no tinted plastic or sign of the window laminated. I even took a fine xacto knife and scraped the corner, nothing. It looks like the glass itself is tinted. Mind you, these windows are the side door and wind wing glass, not the windshield. My windshield is untinted clear glass as is the rear window. I also looked for any type of emblem such as a Ford emblem and could not find one. Now you got my interests going on this one.
I'm not sure when they stopped using laminated glass and went to tempered glass for side windows? I was of the understanding that Ford was the only manufacturer that made their own glass. (LOF)
AXracer- Hey, check this out! I went out the look at the glass again. On both windwing glass it has a stamping etched into the glass. It has the following.
CAL TEMP
ANSI -Z 97.1 - 1975
16 CFR 1201 CAT II
1/4U - SECC -638
SFS-1
I also checked the front window and it appears to be tinted in the green. It also has a stamp etched in the corner that says PPG? I thought that was a paint product or something? The back window is original ford and has the logo on the driver's side glass. Sure wish I knew where these windows came from. If you find out let me know. Ed
PPG Pittsburg Plate Glass aftermarket replacement.
Side glass is a tempered glass made to 1975 standards so has to date after that. Don't know if CAL is the manufacturer?
