From: VA BEACH. but am from IL
Cool Question on TUNEUPS.

Our truck is a 2000 and has 102,000 miles on the OD. It is in serious need of a tuneup but are indimidated by doing it ourselves. Our truck has the 5.4 liter V8 engine adn it is almost impossible for us to figure out how to change the plugs and everything. We called FORD and FIRESTONE here in Va Beach and they gave us a quote of 225.00 to 250.00 to have it done. Does anybody know how we can do this ourselves or any where that is cheaper for us to get it done.

Foxy, at the top of this forum is a thread with instructions on replacing your spark plugs. If you're patient and somewhat mechanically inclined you should be able to do it

at $250 a tune up.... if they are using quality parts and have a warrenty against part failure... id let them do it lol that way you have someone to blame for any malfunctions that may occur. just my $0.02
