Gas tank filler cap?

My tank cap will be in the exact center of the bed (56f100) Which puts the cap in line with the center metal strip. Just wonder if anyone has any pictures of how they treated this install? Thanks

John Niolon has a photo of an installation like yours in his Install Tech Article for Mustang Tanks. It appears to be the recessed cup and drain that Rock Valley sells. I decided to move my filler neck to be in the center of the bed board so I wouldn't have to cut the metal strip. I've also seen a square SS flip door used in the center location but I don't know who sells it. You could use the round SS door from a late model Mustang. I think they are probably flat enough to work in the bed. Hope this helps some. 56FUN

what type filler you using? What about venting? I plan to use a marine/boat fill and cut the strip, although I also have a s/s recessed bowl.
