04 Expy EB Radio inputs

I just got an iPod and am wondering if there are any available jacks on the back of my factory "Audiophile" radio to plug directly into. Also wondering what specialty tools I might need to get the radio out to run the cable, if the jack is available. I have an CD/Aux and Sat buttons on the radio and I don't intend on installing Sat radio (that's why the iPod.)

Thanks
Gary

There is no an available jack on the back of the 6 CD's Audiophile radio. The CD/Aux button you see is intended to change to the DVD/CD changer inputs, that is already wired in the radio back connectors. Probably the best option to connect an iPod to the Expy audio system (without the need of modify the radio) is to get the iPod connected to an aftermarket FM transmitter.

Although cannot speak from personal experience as I found I am out of luck trying to get such a connection on my '03, I found there are adapters made by PIE (I believe it's the FRD03-AUX if you have 16 and 24 pin connectors at the radio) that will provide capability for line-in to the 04 Ford "SAT Button" equiped head units. You should check with the company (PIE - precision interface electronics) on your specifics.
