a/c
The A/C wide open throttle relay in the relay box should be in good shape, the cycling pressure switches need to be checked and, of course, the compressor clutch needs looking over.
I had that same clicking when my clutch went toast. You won't have cold air for long in that case.
O'Reilly has that for about 90 bucks and an hour of labor at a shop (they need to be shimmed properly and pulled with a special tool) will take care of you if the clutch is the case.
I'd begin by hooking up gauges to the system and evaluate the charge; however this depends on the climate where you are at. If it's a cool day and you are running a/c with the fan on low, expect some cycling as this is normal. On a warm day, it should not cycle. Also, short-cycling is common on a winter day when the defroster is on. Defrost turns on the compressor to dehumidify the air yet very little heat needs to be removed from the incomming air to accomplish this.
What's the ambient temp like where you're at and how long is the compressor engaging? This could be nothing more than a little low on charge.
