Has anyone had any experience with a remanufactured tranny from Ford Motor Company. I was quoted a price of $1725 for my 91 F-350 dually and I thought that was fairly cheap. Just wondering how good they are.
Thanks

Got 100K on mine still have not changed the oil.. I'm bad I know. Only thing happening now is OD light flashes in reverse for 10 secs when I do not wait for trans fluid to warm up before backing out, once it's in go gear it quits. Trans fluid change should cure that, but it's -25F right now.........

One point I will make, think hard about having them (Ford) do the R&R and have the filter installed on the fluid return line for warranty purposes. One other consideration is getting a new larger cooler (if you tow) and install it at same time, one work order for one warranty.....just a little CYA.

plus ford trannies, have a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty, which would cover parts and labor at any ford dealer
