A "re-flash" is a new factory program for the truck's engine management computer. If you're not having any issues, there is no reason for a re-flash.
Perhaps you've heard of people getting a "chip" to re-program the truck's computer for performance enhancements. Diablo & Superchips are two of the more popular brands of programmers/chips. To get the performance gains, you have to run high-octane fuel.
